ImageBind: Is AI on the verge of sensing the world like humans? 🤔
Hello, AI enthusiasts! Have you ever thought about AI having multi-sensory perception like humans? Well, Meta has taken a significant step in this direction! 🎉🤖
Just yesterday, Meta released ImageBind, an open-source AI model that brings machines closer to the human ability to holistically learn from many different forms of information. The model takes as input not only text, image/video, and audio data but also depth, thermal, and even inertial measurement units (IMUs) measurements!
This multi-modal learning is a game-changer, opening up exciting possibilities:
🔹 Creating images from audio: given the sound of a rainforest, generate an image of a rainforest.
🔹 Equipping machines with the ability to understand how warm or cold objects in images are or their 3D shape.
🔹 Performing cross-modal content search: for example, given an image of a pigeon and a sound recording of a motor revving, retrieve an image of a motorcyclist passing by a square with pigeons flying away.
It seems that we are one step closer to AI that sees, hears, and grasps the world just like us – mind-blowing, isn't it? 🤖
And the most exciting part is, everybody can try it out: kudos to Meta for releasing the model as Open AI! (please do not confuse with OpenAI, which is still promising to release multi-modal access to GPT-4)
Almost weekly a friend or an acquaintance asks me, I want to learn to code; which language should I start with? More or less bi-weekly I get a DM on LinkedIn starting with My son should start programming; what is the best language for him?
Even before COVID hit humanity in 2020, healthcare was already under a lot of strain. Expanding global populations have put pressure on infrastructure and evolution hasn’t been as fast or as effective as many had hoped. When you add in the problems caused by a global pandemic, it’s a grim picture, especially for those without the resources to pay for innovative treatments and the best care. But it doesn’t have to be.

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
